The Montreal Canadiens looked great on both sides of the ice on Monday night when they were able to beat the Boston Bruins 4-0 at home to force a Game 7. Montreal had a 28-26 shot on goal advantage on the night and kept the Bruins from scoring on any of their three power play opportunities.

The Canadiens scored their first in the game when Boston made a mistake in their defensive zone and Lars Eller took advantage and scored the goal for the hosts. Max Pacioretty scored his second goal of the playoffs midway through the second period to give Montreal the 2-0 lead. Just two minutes later, Thomas Vanek scored a power-play goal off of assists by Max Pacioretty and Andrei Markov. Vanek would score the last goal of the game halfway through the third period to give the Habs a 4-0 win.

Pacioretty was the Canadiens' top offensive player in the game with his goal and assist, but Carey Price ended up being the first star for his excellent work in net. He stopped all 26 of the Bruins' shots on goal in the game for his fourth career shutout and his first in this year's playoffs.

After playing extremely well in the previous two games in this series, Tuukka Rask had an off game on Monday night. He could only stop 24 of the 28 shots that came his way and he ended up with an .857 save percentage.
