On Thursday night, the Minnesota Wild will be going for their fourth win in a row when they visit the Philadelphia Flyers.
Last year, the Wild and the Flyers split their two-game regular season series. Both of those games were played in December, with the Flyers winning 4-1 at home in the first game and the Wild getting a shutout in Minnesota in the second.
Flyers goalie Steve Mason has only faced the Wild three times in his career, going 3-0-0 against them with a 1.63 GAA and a .936 save percentage in those games. Right wing Jakub Voracek a one goal and eight assists against Minnesota in 13 games, while Claude Giroux has three points in six games against them.
On Sunday, the Wild allowed the Winnipeg Jets to score three third-period goals against them, but they were still able to come away with a 4-3 win in overtime. The star of the show in that one was left wing Zach Parise, who scored two goals in the win.
The Wild haven't done well on the power play this season, but they have the second-best penalty kill by stopping opposing power plays 89.3 percent of the time. Right wing Nino Niederreiter has a team-high eight goals, while Parise is now tied for the team lead in points with 12 after his solid performance against the Jets.
