Tuesday night, the Minnesota Wild will travel to the Prudential Center to take on the New Jersey Devils. 

The Minnesota Wild will finish a three game road trip with this game in New Jersey.  In their last game on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens, the Wild took a 4 – 1 loss.  The game started close as neither team could find a way to light the lamp in the 1st period.  Montreal opened the scoring midway through the 2nd period but Minnesota answered to make it a 1 - 1 game.  The Canadiens closed out the period with another goal to make it 2 -1 and pulled away in the 3rd with 2 more goals.  Minnesota went 0 for 2 on the power play and that is one reason why they have lost 3 straight.  In those 3 losses, the Wild went 0 for 9 on the power play. But they will face a very weak New Jersey penalty killing unit.

The New Jersey Devils will come into this game after concluding a three game road trip of their own with a stop in Boston to face the Bruins on Monday night.  The home ice will look pretty good to a team that has struggled on the road in recent weeks. But besides the fatigue of playing back to back games on the road and at home, the Devils will have to find a way to get some goals on the power play.  And along with improving the power play, the Devils will have to find an answer for their struggling penalty killing unit.
