The Minnesota Wild will be going on the road on Friday night to face the Dallas Stars, who have won three games in a row. The Wild and the Stars have already played each other twice this season, with the Wild winning both of the games.

In their last game, the Wild gave up four first-period goals to the Los Angeles Kings and ended up being shut out 4-0 on their home ice. They lost that game despite outshooting the Kings 28-22 on the night.

The Wild have one of the better defenses in the NHL this season, but their power play has scored on less than 10 percent of their chances. Netminder Darcy Kuemper has had a solid season so far by going 9-7-0 with three shutouts and a .911 save percentage.

On Tuesday night, the Stars played well on offense and got good goaltending to help them beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 at home. They were 0-for-4 on the power play in that win, but they had a 41-33 faceoff advantage.

The Stars have scored 2.9 goals per game this season, but they are also giving up 3.3 goals per game. Center Tyler Seguin has been one of the best players in the league so far this year by notching 17 goals and 11 assists. Veteran goaltender Kari Lehtonen has 1 9-5-4 record with one shutout, a 2.93 GAA and a .908 save percentage.
