The Minnesota Wild scored three late goals to beat the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 on Monday night to tie the series at 3-3 and force Game 7.

The Wild got off to a great start in the game when Zach Parise was able to score a power-play goal just 49 seconds into the first period. Mikael Granlund doubled Minnesota's lead nine minutes later when he scored his second goal of the series. With about three minutes left in the first, Paul Stastny was able to get a shorthanded goal for Colorado with his fourth tally of the series.

In the second period, Colorado's Nick Holden would tie the game up on a power-play goal, but that was the last puck the Avs would be able to put past Minnesota goalie Darcy Kuemper. The Wild killed off the game in the third period through goals by Parise, Jason Pominville and Marco Scandella.

Parise was easily the best player in a Wild uniform on the night, scoring two goals and assisting on two others. Center Mikko Koivu had two assists for the hosts, while Pominville finished with a goal and an assist.

Kuemper ended up saving 21 of the 21 shots he face for a .913 save percentage. Colorado goalie Semyon Varlamov had his worst game of the series so far by stopping just 18 of Minnesota's 21 shots on goal.
