Tuesday night, the Minnesota Wild will travel to the TD Garden to take on the Boston Bruins.

The Minnesota Wild turned in probably their best performance of the season in their last game.  On Saturday night, the Wild skated all over the Tampa Bay Lightning in a 7 - 2 victory.  Minnesota broke out to a quick 2 - 0 lead and after Tampa Bay cut the score to 2 -1, the Wild added 2 more goals to make it a 4 -1 game after one period.  The Wild continued their march in the 2nd with 2 more goals.  The Lightning closed out the period with a goal but it was still a 6 - 2 game.  Minnesota added the 7th goal in the 3rd to cap an awesome scoring performance.  Despite the win, Minnesota continued their struggles on the power play.  They were 0 for 1 on Saturday and are 0 for 20 on the season. And they might have some trouble against a Boston team that has handled the penalty kill well so far this season.

The Boston Bruins will return home after their last game in Toronto on Saturday night.  In that game, Bruins took a 4 – 1 victory over the Maple Leafs.  Just 3:27 into the game, Carl Soderberg put the Bruins up 1 - 0.  Boston added a second goal in the 2nd period to go up 2 -0 but they exploded in the 3rd.  The Bruins scored 2 goals in the opening 4:09 of the period to extend their lead to 4 -0.  A late Toronto goal had no real bearing on the final result.  Boston managed to score a goal on the power play and shorthanded as well.  They might be just too much for the Wild to handle on Tuesday.
