When the Winnipeg Jets and the Los Angeles Kings faced off in October, Devin Setoguchi and the Jets were able to knock off the Kings 5-3. Setoguchi finished the game with two goals and an assist. Evander Kane helped out with a goal and two assists.
Winnipeg started this game off slow. After going down 1-0 from a Matt Greene goal, the Jets scored four straight goals and it proved to be too much for the Kings. After Kane tied the score up in the first period, Olli Jokinen scored the only goal of the second period. This was followed by both of Setoguchi's goals. Jeff Carter and Justin Williams both scored in the third for the Kings but Bryan Little put the final touches on this game when he scored at the 19:12 mark of the third period.
This was only the second time these two teams have faced each other with the other game being a Winnipeg win as well. Since they are now in the same conference, Los Angeles and Winnipeg will be meeting up three more times this year.
Los Angeles is riding a five game win streak before having lost four straight. Two of those five games were on the road. They'll have to keep it up against a Winnipeg team that has been playing well over the last month in games where they were almost always underdogs. Even though the Jets are underdogs in this matchup, they've been playing like a team that doesn't know it and will likely put up a nice fight for the Kings.
