The Los Angeles Kings were able to avoid elimination yet again on Monday night by beating the San Jose Sharks 4-1 and tied the series at three wins apiece. The Sharks didn't convert any of their four power play opportunities in the game.

Justin Williams was able to put the Kings on the scoreboard first five minutes into the opening period with his third goal of the series. The next goal in the game wouldn't come until midway through the second period when the Sharks' James Sheppard was able to tie the game up off assists by Justin Braun and Raffi Torres.

The third period was all about the Kings. Williams would score his second goal of the game 12 minutes into the period when he was able to put home a rebound off of defenseman Robyn Regehr's shot. Anze Kopitar scored the final two goals of the game to finish off the Sharks.

Kopitar and Williams both finished the game with two goals and an assist apiece for the Kings, while defenseman Drew Doughty ended up with two assists in the win. Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick had a fantastic game and ended up saving 25 of the 26 shots he faced for a .962 save percentage.

San Jose netminder Alex Stalock ended up with 26 saves and an .867 save percentage in the loss.
