The Los Angeles Kings will be going on the road on Thursday night to face the Ottawa Senators, who are 6-3-3 on home ice this season. Last year, the Kings were able to win both of their games against the Senators.

The Kings' offensive struggles continued on Tuesday night when they were shut out 1-0 by the Buffalo Sabres on the road. They lost that game despite finishing with a huge 34-16 shooting advantage.

So far this season, the Kings have only been able to score 2.5 goals per game, but their defense has done well to hold opposing offenses to just two goals per game. Netminder Jonathan Quick is having another solid year by going 11-7-4 with a 2.09 GAA and a .931 save percentage.

The Senators were able to snap their five-game losing streak this past Sunday when they defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in overtime. Center Mika Zibanejad was excellent and deserved the top star in that game by finishing with two goals and two assists.

Through 27 games this season, the Senators are averaging 2.5 goals per game while allowing their opponents to score 2.7 goals per game against them. Defenseman Erik Karlsson has been their best all-around player by notching seven goals and 13 assists so far this season. Goalie Craig Anderson is now 6-7-4 on the year with a 2.50 GAA and a .927 save percentage.
