Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Kings will visit the Nashville Predators. 

The Los Angeles Kings took the loss in their last game as they fell 5 -4 to the Dallas Stars on Saturday night. The Kings allowed the Stars to get too far ahead of them early on and that made it hard for Los Angeles to come back.  But the Kings tried their best though.  Dallas scored 3 goals in the 1st and added another early in the 2nd to take a 4 - 0 lead before Los Angeles started their comeback.  Back to back goals by Tanner Pearson and Justin Williams cut the lead in half but Dallas answered with a goal to make it 5 - 2 before Mike Richards cut the deficit to 5 -3 at the end of the period.  Justin Williams had his 2nd goal of the game in the 3rd but it just wasn’t enough.  A better start in this one could give the Kings a better chance to beat the Predators.

The Nashville Predators needed a shootout to get the win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.  But Nashville wouldn’t have been in the position to need a shootout if they hadn’t blown a late lead.  Neither team found a way to score in 1st but Nashville lit the lamp first late in the 2nd with a Colin Wilson goal.  Matt Cullen made it 2 -0 late in the 3rd but the Panthers scored twice in the last minute of play to send it to overtime.  After the scoreless overtime, the Predators scored to only goal of the shootout to escape with the win. Nashville will need a batter defensive effort if they want to get past the defending champion Kings.
