On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Kings will be taking on the Edmonton Oilers, who are currently on a nine-game losing streak.

The first time these two teams squared off this season, the Kings were able to rout the Oilers by the score of 6-1 at home. In that game, left wing Tanner Pearson was the top star by notching two goals and one assist in the win.

Kings center Jeff Carter has 10 goals and five assists in his 13 games against the Oilers, while defenseman Drew Doughty has 11 points and a plus/minus of +9 against them in 23 career games. In 17 starts against Edmonton in his career, goalie Jonathan Quick has gone 12-1-4 with one shutout, a 1.50 GAA and a .942 save percentage.

Edmonton's struggles continued on Saturday when they were beaten 4-1 by the Calgary Flames on the road. Their power play was poor again in that loss, going 0-for-5 on their chances with the extra man.

Through 36 games this season, the Oilers have given up 3.4 goals per game and they have only been able to score on 12 percent of their power play opportunities. Left wing Taylor Hall had a good start to the season, but he now has just 21 points in 30 games played. Netminder Ben Scrivens is 5-13-5 this year with one shutout and an .892 save percentage.
