The Los Angeles Kings, who are just 1-3-3 away from home this season, will be going on the road on Saturday night to face the Dallas Stars. The Kings and the Stars have already played each other twice this season, with both teams picking up one road win.

The Kings won their third game in a row on Thursday night when they defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 on home ice. They were clearly the better offensive team in that game, finishing with a 39-27 shooting advantage.

Through 20 games, the Kings are right near the top of the league in goals against by holding opponents to just over two goals per game. Center Jeff Carter has scored seven goals and provided 10 assists for Los Angeles so far this season. Goalie Jonathan Quick is 10-3-4 with two shutouts, a 2.05 GAA and a very solid .938 save percentage.

The Stars snapped their three-game losing streak on Thursday night when they beat the Arizona Coyotes 3-1 on home ice. Netminder Kari Lehtonen had a good game in that win by stopping 25 of the 26 shots he faced.

The Stars have struggled on defense so far this year, giving up nearly 3.5 goals per game to their opponents. Lehtonen is now 7-3-4 after that win against Arizona, and he has a .906 save percentage. Their top offensive player has been center Tyler Seguin, who has 14 goals and 10 assists through 20 games.
