On Monday night, the Los Angeles Kings dominated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals and took a 3-1 lead in the series. Both teams played well defensively throughout the contest, but the Kings we able to turn two of their three power play opportunities into goals while the Blackhawks failed to convert any of their three chances.

Jake Muzzin got the Kings their first goal by scoring a power-play tally nine minutes into the first period. Marian Gaborik scored his tenth goal of the playoffs two minutes later, then Dustin Brown gave the Kings a 3-0 lead with a power-play goal a few minutes after that.

Kings defenseman Drew Doughty got his team their fourth goal of the night midway through the second period off of assists by Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams. The Blackhawks wee able to finally score their first of the game a little over a minute later when Brandon Saad hit the back of the net.

Bryan Bickell was able to get Chicago back to within two at the 9:29 mark of the third period, but the Kings' Tanner Pearson put the game on ice with goal scored with a minute remaining in the contest.

Doughty had a goal and an assist in the win, while Kopitar finished with two assists. Kings netminder Jonathan Quick had 22 saves on the night.
