Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Kings will finish up their 4 game road trip with a stop at the PNC Arena to face the Carolina Hurricanes. 

The Los Angeles Kings were certainly feeling the rigors of the road trip in their last game.  On Friday night, their stop in Detroit was a disaster as they took a 5 -2 loss to the Red Wings.  A rested Detroit team jumped on the Kings early and didn’t let up.  Detroit took a commanding 4 -0 lead after the 1st and Los Angeles had to spend the rest of the night playing catch-up.  The Kings got a goal in the 2nd and they were able to keep the Red Wings from scoring as well.  But despite another goal in the 3rd, the Kings were never really in this game.  They will go to Raleigh looking for their only win of the road trip after going 0 -2 -1 in their other 3 games.  But they might have the advantage because Carolina will be the tired team in this one. 

The Carolina Hurricanes will take the ice Sunday afternoon after playing Saturday night against the Arizona Coyotes.   Even though the Hurricanes will be at home for both games, it will be a test of their strength and stamina.  And given the fact that the Hurricanes have been struggling since the start of the season, playing a rested Los Angeles Kings team looking to salvage their road trip with a win won’t be an easy prospect.   The chances that Carolina will be victorious over Los Angeles will probably be slim to none.
