The Los Angeles Kings will attempt to snap their three-game road losing streak when they go up against the Calgary Flames on Monday. The Kings and the Flames played each other for the first time this season just last week when the Flames were able to pull off a 4-3 overtime win in Calgary.

The Kings have now been able to win three out of their last four games after beating the San Jose Sharks 3-1 on Saturday. Goalie Jonathan Quick stopped 21 of the 22 shots that came his way in that game for a solid .955 save percentage.

So far this year, the Kings have relied on their defense and goaltending, who have been able to hold opponents to less than 2.5 goals per game. Center Jeff Carter has been their top offensive player by notching 10 goals and 17 assists in 36 games played.

The Flames scored three first-period goals against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night and rolled to a 4-1 home win. Left wing Johnny Gaudreau was their top star in that game by scoring two of their four goals.

Through 37 games, the Flames are scoring around three goals per game while holding their opponents to under 2.7 goals per game. Center Jiri Hudler currently leads Calgary in goals with 13, while defenseman Mark Giordano has been able to notch a team-high 25 assists.
