On Thursday, the Los Angeles Kings will be going on the road to take on the Arizona Coyotes in an early-season Pacific Division matchup. Earlier this season, the Coyotes defeated the Kings 3-2 in overtime.

The Kings played great defense and had solid goaltending in that game against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday and came away with a 2-0 shutout. Goalie Jonathan Quick was once again their best player by stopping all 31 of the shots that came his way.

So far this season, the Kings are in the top five in goals against by only allowing opponents to score 2.2 goals per game against them. Their best offensive player has been center Tyler Toffoli, who has 10 goals and 10 assists in 25 games this season. Quick now has an 11-5-4 record with a 2.15 GAA and a .933 save percentage.

The Coyotes have now lost four out of their last five games after losing 5-2 to the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night. They gave up five goals in that one despite on allowing 24 shots on goal.

The Coyotes are giving up 3.1 goals per game this year and they have only been able to stop 78.8 percent of the power plays that they have faced. Goaltender Mike Smith has won just five of his 19 starts this season and owns a measly .891 save percentage.
