The Los Angeles Kings will be facing the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night in a game that will feature two of the best defenses in the NHL. Last year, the Ducks were able to win four out of their five games against the Kings.

The Kings were great on both ends of the ice in their game against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday and came away with a 5-1 home win. They did well to keep possession of the puck in that win and they held the Canucks to just 19 shots on goal.

Through 15 games, the Kings are only scoring 2.4 goals per game, but they are also only giving up 1.9 goals per game. Center Tyler Toffoli has been able to score seven goals through 15 games and he has 17 points. Veteran netminder Jonathan Quick is 7-3-3 on the season with two shutouts and a solid .943 save percentage.

Anaheim is now on a three-game losing skid after losing 2-1 in the shootout to the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday. Goaltender Frederik Andersen was very good in that game despite taking the loss, stopping 34 of the 35 shots he faced.

The Ducks have struggled a bit on offense this season, but their defense has been able to hold opponents to just 1.9 goals per game. Andersen is now 7-1-2 through 10 starts with a 1.56 GAA and a .943 save percentage. Right wing Corey Perry has a team-high 11 goals and 15 points in his 13 games.
