The Florida Panthers and their struggling offense will take on the solid power play of the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.

Last season, the Capitals were able to beat the Panthers in two of their three games against each other by a combined score of 10-9. The first two games of the season series went to the shootout, and then Washington won the final game in February by the score of 5-4.

Panthers left wing Scottie Upshall has only been able to score on goal in his 17 games against the Capitals in his career. Goalie Roberto Luongo has done well against them by going 19-10-3 with a .927 save percentage and a 2.29 GAA.

Washington was able to score three third-period goals to beat the New Jersey Devils 6-2 at home on Thursday night. They put 33 shots on goal in that win and they were 1-for-5 on the power play. Goaltender Braden Holtby received the first star on the night for stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced.

Through four games, Caps right wing Alex Ovechkin has five goals and leads the team with six points. Rookie left wing Andre Burakovsky has two goals and three assists in his first four games in the NHL. Holtby has had one poor game this season, but he is still 2-0-1 with a 932 save percentage and a 1.85 GAA.
