The Florida Panthers will be heading out on the road on Monday night to play the St. Louis Blues in a game between two of the better defenses in the league. During the 2013-14 season, the Blues were able to win both of their games against Florida.

The Panthers were aggressive on offense in their game against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday and were rewarded with a 3-2 home win. They had 44 hits in that game while also outshooting the Sabres 37-28.

So fart this season, the Panthers have had one of the better defenses in the Eastern Conference by only giving up 2.4 goals per game. Center Nick Bjugstad has been their most consistent offensive player by notching 11 goals and six assists in 25 games. Veteran goaltender Roberto Luongo has a 9-5-6 record this season with one shutout, a 2.37 GAA and a .925 save percentage.

On Saturday night, the Blues scored three goals in the second and third periods of their game against the New York Rangers and came away with a 6-4 road win. They were 3-for-5 on the power play in that victory and they ended up with a 40-27 shots-on-goal advantage.

The Blues have only allowed 2.3 goals per game this year while also having one of the best power plays in the league. Goalie Brian Elliott has an 8-4-1 record this year with one shutout, a solid 1.82 GAA and a .931 save percentage.
