On Saturday, the Florida Panthers will be visiting the Nashville Predators in a game that will feature two of the worst penalty kills in the league. Last year, the Panthers and the Preds split their two-game regular season series.

On Thursday night, the Panthers gave up a late goal to the San Jose Sharks to force overtime, but they were still able to come away with a 3-2 shootout win. Center Nick Bjugstad was their top performer in that win by scoring both of the regulation goals. Veteran goaltender Roberto Luongo is 6-4-4 through 14 starts with one shutout and a .922 save percentage.

Through 17 games, the Panthers have only scored a little over two goals per game against their opponents. Bjugstad now has a team-high six goals on the year and is second on the team in points with 10.

The Predators gave up three goals in the second period to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday and ended up losing 3-2 on the road. They lost that game despite outshooting the Senators 35-19 on the night.

Through 19 games, the Predators have one of the best defenses in the league by giving up just over two goals per game. Center Filip Forsberg has been very impressive for the Preds so far this season by scoring nine goals and assisting on 13 others. Goaltender Pekka Rinne has an excellent 12-3-1 record this season with a 1.92 GAA and a .930 save percentage.
