Friday night, the Florida Panthers will travel to take on the Buffalo Sabres. 

The Florida Panthers will come into this game after a fairly long rest.  They last played on Monday night at home against the Ottawa Senators.  Florida ended up on the losing side of the ledger after losing 1 – 0 to the Senators.  Even though the Panthers outshot and out hit the Senators, they lost the battle that really counted – the score.  The Panthers are struggling on both the offensive and defensive ends and it looks like the struggles may continue for some time to come.  Florida isn’t giving up that many goals but they can’t seem to buy a goal.  The only bright spot for them might be that the Sabres aren’t playing much better.

The Buffalo Sabres won their last game on Tuesday night but only after blowing a 2 goal lead late.  Buffalo had the Carolina Hurricanes boxed into a corner and the Hurricanes came out fighting.  Carolina forced overtime and a shootout before they fell.  The Sabres could have easily lost the fame and probably should have.  Even against a Florida Panthers team that doesn’t even have a win yet, Buffalo can’t take this game for granted. They have to pick up the offense and shore up their defense if they want to keep the Panthers winless.
