The Edmonton Oilers, who are just 2-6-3 on the road this year, will be visiting the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night. Last season, the Jets were able to defeat the Oilers in two out of their three games against each other.

The Oilers lost their 10th game in a row on Monday night when the Arizona Coyotes beat them 5-2 in Edmonton. Their penalty kill continued to struggle in that loss, allowing the Coyotes to score on two of their three chances with the extra man.

Through 25 games, the Oilers have only been able to score 2.2 goals per game against their opponents. One player who has done a good for them this season is right wing Jordan Eberle, who has five goals and 11 assists.

The Jets had their two-game winning streak come to an end last Friday when the Boston Bruins beat them 2-1 in overtime. They were outshot 38 -26 in that loss, but the bigger problem was that they were beaten 37-29 at the faceoff dot.

So far this season, the Jets have struggled to score goals, but they have only given up 2.2 goals per game. Left wing Andrew Ladd has 16 points through 25 games and has a plus/minus of +3. Goaltender Ondrej Pavelec is 8-8-2 this year with one shutout, a .919 save percentage and a 2.23 GAA.
