On Friday night, the Edmonton Oilers will go on the road to take on the St. Louis Blues, who have won two out of their last three games.

Last season, the Blues seemed to enjoy facing the Oilers, winning all three of their games against them. Not only did they sweep them, they won all three of the games by at least three goals, including a 6-0 blowout in their last meeting.

Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens has faced the Blues four times in his career, going 2-1-0 in those games with an .888 save percentage and a 3.66 GAA. Left wing Taylor Hall has been able to score five goals and provide five assists in 12 games against St. Louis, while center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has one goal and five points against them in seven career games.

On Tuesday, the Blues allowed the Ottawa Senators to score two late, third-period goals and then were beaten 3-2 in the shootout. They did have 33 shots on goal in that game, but they were unable to score on any of their three power play opportunities.

So far this season, the Blues have the best defense in the league by only allowing their opponents to score two goals per game against them. Goalie Brian Elliott is now 8-4-1 through 14 starts with a solid 1.82 GAA and a .931 save percentage.
