The Edmonton Oilers will have a hard time ending their long losing streak on Tuesday as they have to face the San Jose Sharks, who have won four games in a row.

In their game against each other on Sunday night, the Oilers were able to finally end their 11-game losing streak when they beat the Sharks 2-1 on home ice. Edmonton ended up scoring on one of their two power play chances and they finished with a 24-21 shooting advantage.

The top performer in that game on Sunday for the Oilers was goalie Ben Scrivens, who stopped 20 of the 21 shots that came his way. Nail Yakupov and David Perron scored Edmonton's two goals, while Tye McGinn scored the lone goal for the Sharks.

The Oilers have one of the worst offenses in the league this season by only averaging 2.2 goals per game against their opponents. Right wing Jordan Eberle has had a pretty good start to the year by notching five goals and 12 assists in 26 games. Netminder Ben Scrivens is just 5-6-3 with an .890 save percentage and a 3.22 GAA.

Through 29 games, the Sharks have one of the top five power plays in the NHL by scoring on 23.3 percent of their chances with the extra man. Center Patrick Marleau has seven goals so far this season and leads San Jose in points with 25.
