The Edmonton Oilers will try to win just their third road game of the season on Wednesday night when they visit the Calgary Flames.

The Oilers and the Flames have played each other twice so far this season, with the Flames coming away with both of the wins. Their most recent meeting was just last Saturday, when Calgary beat the Oilers 4-1 at home.

Oilers left wing Taylor Hall has five goals and nine assists in his 18 games against the Flames, while veteran right wing Teddy Purcell has just four points in his 13 games against them. Goalie Ben Scrivens has struggled in limited starts against Edmonton, going 0-2-0 with an .866 save percentage and a 3.27 GAA.

On Monday night, the Flames won their third consecutive game when they edged the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 at home. They were able to win that game despite going 0-for-2 on the power play and finishing with just 15 shots on goal.

The Flames have a winning record this season even though they are barely scoring more goals than they are giving up. Netminder Jonas Hiller now has a 12-10-2 record on the season with one shutout, a .919 save percentage and a 2.29 GAA. Center Jiri Hudler has been one of Calgary's better offensive players by notching 13 goals and 23 assists in 37 games played.
