The Dallas Stars last played the Winnipeg Jets on December 14th.  The Stars beat out the Jets 6-4.  The game went down to a five minute power play where the Stars quickly scored two goals in the second period.  The Jets would have four power play opportunities but only managed to score on one of them.  The Stars goalie, Kari Lehtonen, recorded thirty five saves during the game and would not allow the Jets to pull ahead of the Stars. 

The Stars were able to score their sixth goal quickly into the third period to put them ahead by three.  The Jets would score their fourth and final goal with only two minutes remaining.  The Jets had thirty eight shots on goal while the Stars had thirty two.

Leading the way for the Stars was Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn who had two goals a piece in the victory. Valeri Nichushkin and Colton Sceviour also added goals on the night. Black Wheeler had two goals for the Jets in the losing effort.

The Stars are currently on a three game winning streak and are the fifth team in their division with seventy three points.  The Winnipeg Jets are currently five points behind Dallas in their division and are sitting in sixth place.  Winnipeg is 0-5 in their last five games.
