The Dallas Stars will be going up against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night in a game between two teams that score nearly three goals per game. The first time these two teams met this season, the Blues were able to beat the Stars 4-3 in overtime on the road.

The Stars faced an in-form goaltender on Tuesday night and were shut out by the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-0 at home. They didn't score a goal in that loss despite being able to put 43 of their shots on target.

So far this year, the Stars have one of the worst defenses in the NHL by allowing their opponents to average 3.4 goals per game against them. Center Tyler Seguin is currently having his best season by notching a team-high 25 goals with 17 assists through 33 games.

On Tuesday night, the Blues lost their third game in a row when the Colorado Avalanche blew them out 5-0 on the road. They were outshot 41-26 in that loss and ended up allowing the Avs to score on two of their six power play opportunities.

Through 34 games this season, the Blues are in the top 10 in the league in scoring with nearly three goals per game. Goaltender Jake Allen has an 11-4-2 record on the year with a pretty good 2.69 GAA and two shutouts.
