Sunday night, the Dallas Stars will wrap up a 3 game Canadian road trip at the Rexall Place as they face the Edmonton Oilers.

The Dallas Stars notched their 3^rd win in a row on Friday night as the edged the Calgary Flames 2 -1. After the teams played a scoreless 1 ^st period, the Stars opened up the scoring in the 2^nd. Jamie Benn put the Stars up 1 - 0 early in the 2^nd and later on, Trevor Daley made it a 2 - 0 game with his 7^th goal of the season. As the period came to a close, the Flames cut the lead to 2 -1. But that was a far as things would go as neither team could light the lamp in the 3^rd period. Dallas beat Edmonton in late November and they should be able to continue their win streak with another victory over the Oilers on Sunday.

The Edmonton Oilers lost their 6^th game in a row on Tuesday after falling to the San Jose Sharks 4 - 3. The Oilers had their chances to end the losing streak on Tuesday but the just couldn't. Edmonton had a 1 - 0 lead after the 1^st but they gave up 2 goals in less than 2 minutes in the beginning of the 2^nd to go down 2 - 1. After regaining the lead behind 2 more goals, the Oilers were up 3 -2 going into the 3^rd. But 2 San Jose goals in less than a minute in the 3^rd period sank the Oilers for good. For the 3^rd time in the losing streak, the Oilers gave up 4 or more goals and the defense will have to tighten up if they want to end the slump.
