The Dallas Stars will be hoping that they can end their seven-game losing streak on Tuesday night when they visit the Arizona Coyotes. The Stars beat the Coyotes in two out of their three games against each other last season.

Dallas gave up four goals in the third period of their game against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday and ended up losing 5-3 on home ice. Their offense was pretty unlucky in that game, scoring just three times despite putting 40 shots on target.

The Stars have struggled on defense this season, giving up 3.5 goals per game through their first 14 games. Center Tyler Seguin has been excellent so far this year by scoring 10 goals and assisting on nine others. Netminder Kari Lehtonen has a 4-3-4 record with a .904 save percentage and a 2.94 GAA.

On Saturday, the Coyotes had a poor offensive performance in the their game against the New York Islanders and ended up being shut out 1-0. They were 0-for-5 on the power play in that loss and they finished the game with just 19 shots on goal.

The Coyotes are scoring 2.4 goals per game while giving up 3.3 goals per game to their first 14 opponents. Defenseman Keith Yandle is one Arizona player who has done well this season by providing 10 assists to his teammates. Goalie Mike Smith has a 4-7-0 record through 11 starts with a 3.22 GAA and an .897 save percentage.
