Saturday night, the Columbus Blue Jackets will visit the Ottawa Senators.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will enter the Canadian Tire Centre fresh off their Friday night game against the Calgary Flames. After playing the night before and traveling, the Blue Jackets will certainly be experiencing some fatigue.  That fatigue could slow down a Columbus team that has been playing well to start the season. The Blue Jackets are getting their shots on goal and making the most of their opportunities.  They are also looking decent on the power play while stifling their opponents on the penalty kill.  All of the Columbus numbers spell a solid matchup for the Senators.

The Ottawa Senators posted a big 5 – 3 comeback win over the Colorado Avalanche in their home opener Thursday night.  In that game, the Senators let the Avalanche open up a 3 -1 lead in the 1st period.  But after the cold start, the Senators heated up with a goal in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd to complete the comeback.  Against a possibly tired Columbus team, the Senators will be best served with a quick start that may throw the Blue Jackets off balance.  The Senators aren’t posting the best numbers but they are finding ways to win games.  And if they can keep that up, they should be able to get past the Blue Jackets.
