In a game that will feature two of the better penalty kills in the NHL, the Columbus Blue Jackets will take on the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday afternoon. Columbus and LA played each other twice last season with each team picking up a road win.

The Blue Jackets would only get a first period goal against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday in a game they eventually lost 4-1. Their usually potent offense was only able to get 17 of their shots on target in that loss.

The Blue Jackets are still in the top ten in the league in scoring and they have one of the best penalty kill percentages. Center Ryan Johansen has five goals and five assists through seven games, while veteran Scott Hartnell leads the team in assists with eight. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has a 4-3-0 record with a .920 save percentage.

On Thursday, the Kings needed just two early goals to go on to beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-0 at home. They were 2-for-3 on their power play opportunities and they outshot the Sabres 39-29 in that win.

The Kings have one of the best defensive teams in the league right now after giving up just 1.4 goals per game through their first seven games. Center Jeff Carter has scored for goals and is tied for the team lead in points with eight. Goaltender Jonathan Quick has a 4-1-1 record through six starts and has a 1.54 GAA with a .958 save percentage.
