Friday night, the Columbus Blue Jackets make a stop at the Honda Center to take on the Anaheim Ducks.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be making the relatively short trip from San Jose where they took on the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night. The Blue Jackets are on a 4 game road trip that will test their physical and mental stamina. It’s important for any team to be able to play well on the road.  And it’s important to be able to play the back to back road games that come in every season.  So far, Columbus has posted decent numbers but they will need to play some of their best hockey against an Anaheim team that is playing some very high quality hockey.    

The Anaheim Ducks notched their 6th straight win on Wednesday night as they beat the Buffalo Sabres 4 -1. The Sabres were no match for an Anaheim team that came out of the gates looking for another win.  Anaheim scored one in the 1st and one in the 2nd to go up 2 - 0 entering the 3rd period.  After the Sabres cut the lead to 2 – 1, the Ducks’ Corey Perry added 2 in the 3rd to earn his 2nd hat trick of the season.   Anaheim dominated Buffalo on the face-offs and with their shots on goal.  If they put up another big effort against the Blue Jackets, the Ducks will be hard to beat.
