The Colorado Avalanche will continue their road trip on Friday night when they face the Winnipeg Jets, who have won three out of their last four games.

In their first meeting of the season, the Jets were able to pull off a 2-1 overtime win over the Avalanche at home. Left Wing Andrew Ladd was Winnipeg's top player in that win, scoring one of the goals and providing an assist on the other.

In his 13 games against the Jets, Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov has a solid 7-3-2 record with a 2.45 GAA and a .916 save percentage. Left wing Alex Tanguay has six goals and 22 assists in 23 career games against Winnipeg, while veteran Jarome Iginla has nine goals and 12 assists against them in 16 games.

The Jets have now won three out of their last four games after beating the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night. Goalie Ondrej Pavelec had 22 saves in that game and finished as the first star.

So far this year, the Jets have played very well defensively, but their offense has only been able to score two goals per game. Pavelec is now 9-8-2 in his 21 games with one shutout, a 2.22 GAA and a .919 save percentage. Right wing Blake Wheeler has eight goals and is tied for the team lead in points with 16.
