The Colorado Avalanche will end their four-game road stretch on Saturday night when they visit the New Jersey Devils.

During the 2013-14 season, the Avs swept their two-game regular season series against the Devils. Both of those games went into overtime and Colorado came away with a 2-1 victory in each win.

Devils veteran Jaromir Jagr has enjoyed facing the Avalanche in his career, scoring 21 goals and accumulating 48 points in 39 games against them. Mike Cammalleri has 29 points in 30 games against Colorado, while netminder Cory Schneider is 6-1-3 against them with two shutouts and a solid 1.58 GAA.

On Thursday night, the Avalanche got out of their offensive funk by beating the New York Rangers 4-3 in the shootout. Center Matt Duchene was the first star in that win by notching a goal and an assist. Nathan MacKinnon was equally important in that win as he was able to score the goal that sent the game into overtime, and he also scored the winner in the shootout.

The Avs are currently scoring 2.3 goals per game and giving up 3.2 goals per game. Duchene now has five goals on the season and is tied for the team lead in points with 12. Netminder Semyon Varlamov has made 12 starts this season, going 3-5-4 with a .918 save percentage and a 3.02 GAA.
