The Minnesota Wild were able to get a game-winning Mikael Granlund goal in overtime to beat the Colorado Avalanche 1-0 in Game 3 of their series. The Avalanche now lead the series 2-1 leading into their Thursday night encounter.

On the winning goal, Granlund had the puck for about 10 seconds before he was able to make a falling shot towards goal. He skated past four Avs before making it into the crease and putting it in the net. It was a moment of individual brilliance that occurred at the end of a game that lacked any great individual performances other than from the two netminders.

Colorado goalie Semyon Varlamov was about as good as a goaltender can be in the game. The Wild put shots on him from just about every possible angle, but the 25-year-old had an answer all the way until that last shot got past him. Varlamov finished with 45 saves on 46 shots faced, which was the most that the Wild had ever shot in a playoff game.

Wild netminder Darcy Kuemper didn't have as much to do in net as Varlamov did, but he did end up with a big shutout after stopping all 22 shots that the Avalanche put on goal. Granlund not only scored the game-winner for his team, he also set a career-high in shots on goal with seven.
