In an early March matchup that could end up being a Stanley Cup preview, the Chicago Blackhawks were able to top the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1 in a surprisingly one-sided game. The game was part of the NHL's Stadium Series, so the two teams played in the snow at Soldier Field in front of a packed house.

Patrick Sharp scored the first goal of the game, which was his 29th of the season. Jonathan Toews made the score 2-0 to the home side with an unassisted goal 10 minutes into the second period. Six minutes later, Kris Versteeg was able to score the 100th goal of his career thanks to a nice pass by Patrick Kane. James Neal gave the Penguins a glimmer of hope early in the third period with his 22nd on the season, but Bryan Bickell scored in the middle of the period and Toews added his second of the game to put Pittsburgh away.

Toews had a great all-around game, scoring those two goals and providing the assist on Sharp's goal. He and his linemates also played solid defense throughout the game, keeping the Penguins from getting clear shots on goal.

Chicago goalie Corey Crawford had a solid game in the snow, stopping 31 Pittsburgh shots on his way to a .969 save percentage. Penguins netminder Marc-Andre Fleury had to face 40 shots, but he was only able to stop 35 on the night.
