On Saturday night, the Chicago Blackhawks will be visiting the New York Islanders, who have been able to win 10 of their 13 games at home this season. During the 2013-14 season, the Blackhawks and the Islanders split their two-game regular season series.

The Blackhawks were able to win their eighth game in a row on Thursday night when they beat the Boston Bruins 3-2 on the road. They won that game despite going 0-for-4 on the power play and being outshot 34-21.

So far this year, the Blackhawks are near the top of the league in scoring and goals against, and they have the best penalty kill in the NHL. Right wing Patrick Kane has enjoyed a strong start to the season by scoring 13 goals and assisting on 14 others in 29 games. Goalie Corey Crawford has a 12-5-1 record so far this season with one shutout, a 1.87 GAA and a .929 save percentage.

On Thursday night, the Islanders gave up four third-period goals to the St. Louis Blues and were beaten 6-3 on the road. They were 0-for-3 on their power play chances in that loss and ended up being outshot 33-28.

The Islanders have done well on the offensive side of the ice this season, but their defense and goaltending has allowed nearly three goals per game. Right wing Kyle Okposo has just six goals through 29 games this season, but he also leads the team with 20 assists.
