On Saturday night, the Chicago Blackhawks will try to improve upon their 8-5-0 road record when they visit the Nashville Predators.

Earlier this season, the Blackhawks were able to win the first of four meetings between these two teams by the score of 2-1 in overtime. Chicago was 0-for-5 on the power play in that win, but they were also able to outshoot the Predators 37-20. Nashville goalie Carter Hutton played well in the losing effort, stopping 35 of the 36 shots he faced.

In his 41 career games against the Predators, Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane has notched 17 goals and 18 assists, while center Jonathan Toews has accumulated 34 points in his 37 games against them. Goalie Corey Crawford has faced Nashville 16 times in his career, going 8-7-1 in his starts with a 2.69 GAA and an .894 save percentage.

The Predators have now won five of their last six games after defeating the St. Louis Blues 4-3 on the road on Thursday night. Veteran Mike Ribeiro was their top player in that game by scoring one goal and assisting on two others.

Through 25 games, the Predators are in the top three in the league in goals against by only giving up two goals per game to their opponents. Goalie Pekka Rinne has had a very good start to the season by going 17-4-1 with two shutouts, a 1.88 GAA and a .931 save percentage.
