Thursday night, the Chicago Blackhawks will visit the Nashville Predators.

The Chicago Blackhawks will come in Nashville after lighting up the Philadelphia Flyers 4 - 0 on Tuesday night.  The Blackhawks opened up the scoring in the 1st period and never let up.  Chicago posted 3 goals in the 1st to take a 3 -0 lead.  After the teams played a scoreless 2nd period, the Blackhawks added the last goal in the 3rd.   With Philadelphia playing so poorly this season, the Blackhawks were able to boost their confidence going into their 2nd meeting against the Predators in less than a week.  Last Saturday, Chicago edged Nashville 2 -1 in overtime.

The Nashville Predators had to play some extra hockey Tuesday night but they came away with a 4 -3 win over the Arizona Coyotes in a shootout.   In that game, the teams battled back and forth the entire way with one team scoring and the other matching that last goal.  Arizona had the 3 -2 lead in the 3rd until James Neal scored the tying goal less than a minute after Arizona had taken the lead.  After the scoreless overtime, Nashville scored the first goal in the shootout and added another after Arizona tied it up again.  The Predators can look forward to potentially another hard fought game against the Blackhawks.  If the teams play as hard as they did on Saturday, this could come down to overtime again.
