The Los Angeles Kings looked like a different team in their Game 2 matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks by beating them 6-2 on the road and tying the Conference Finals series at 1-1. The Kings were able to convert two of their four power play opportunities while outhitting and outshooting the Blackhawks in the win.

Chicago was the first team to score in the game when Nick Leddy scored a power-play goal 14 minutes into the first period. The Blackhawks would double their lead early in the second through a Ben Smith tally, but the Kings answered late in the period when Justin Williams scored his sixth of the postseason.

The Kings took off in the third period. Jeff Carter and Jake Muzzin had a power-play goal each within the first four minutes of the period before Tyler Toffoli made it 4-2 a few minutes later. Carter would score two more goals to complete his hat trick and gave the Kings a four-goal win.

Carter was the game's top performer with those three goals and his one assist, while left wing Tanner Pearson had two assists in the win. Kings goalie Jonathan Quick was able to stop 23 of the 25 shots he faced for a .920 save percentage.

Corey Crawford had a rare off game in the loss by stopping just 25 of the Kings' 30 shots.
