On Saturday, Chicago Blackhawks will face off against the Colorado Avalanche, who are on a three-game winning streak right now. In their game against each other on November 26, the Blackhawks beat the Avs 3-2 on the road.

The Blackhawks gave up three first-period goals to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night and were blown out 5-1 on home ice. They ended up losing that game despite outshooting the Jets 39-26 and winning 37 of the 60 faceoffs.

Through 35 games, the Blackhawks are fifth in the NHL in scoring with 2.9 goals per game, and they are first in goals against by giving up just two goals per game. Right wing Patrick Kane is once again one of their better players by notching 16 goals and 20 assists on the year.

The Avalanche won their third game in a row on Tuesday night when they shut out the St. Louis Blues 5-0 at home. They were 2-for-6 on the power play in that win and ended up with a huge 41-26 shooting advantage.

Colorado's penalty kill has been very good this season, but they are still giving up nearly three goals per game. Left wing Alex Tanguay currently leads the Avalanche in scoring with 12 goals, while defenseman Tyson Barrie has a team-high 18 assists. Goalie Semyon Varlamov has received the majority of the starts and is 5-6-5 with a 3.01 GAA.
