The Chicago Blackhawks, who have won three out of their last four games, will go on the road on Thursday night to take on the Calgary Flames. Earlier this season, the Flames defeated the Blackhawks 2-1 in overtime.

On Sunday, the Blackhawks were able to score four third-period goals against the Dallas Stars to help
them win 6-2. Their offense was able to shoot at will in that game, finishing with 47 shots on goal.

The Blackhawks' defense and goaltenders are the main reasons why they have their winning record, as they have only given up two goals per game. Goalie Corey Crawford has is 7-4-1 record this season with an excellent 1.88 GAA and a .929 save percentage. Center Jonathan Toews has seven goals and he leads the team in points with 16.

On Tuesday night, the Flames were able to score three goals in the third period to help them eventually beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-3 in the shootout. They won that contest despite going 0-for-5 on the power play and being outshot 27-19.

The Flames have one of the top scoring teams in the NHL so far this season by averaging 3.1 goals per game. Defenseman Mark Giordano has had a great start to the year by scoring six goals and assisting on 15 others in 20 games. Goaltender Jonas Hiller is now 9-4-1 with a 2.33 GAA and a .920 save percentage.
