The Calgary Flames will go on the road on Friday night to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in a game between two of the top offenses in the league.

During the 2013-14 season, the Penguins were able to win both of their games against the Flames. It was a close two-game series, though, as both games were decided by just one goal.

Flames defenseman Mark Giordano has played against Pittsburgh five times in his career, notching one goal and two assists against them. Center Jiri Hudler has two goals and three assists in his seven games against the Penguins, while goalie Jonas Hiller has gone 2-2-1 against them in his career with a 2.77 GAA and an .893 save percentage.

The Penguins came back in the third period of their game against the New York Rangers on Monday, but they ended up losing that game 4-3 in overtime. They lost that game despite making the Rangers go 0-for-4 on the power play and outshooting them 45-29 on the night.

Through 27 games, the Penguins have a very high 29.1 power play percentage and are third in the league in scoring with 3.2 goals per game. Center Sidney Crosby has nine goals and leads the team in points with 35. Netminder Marc-Andre Fleury is now 15-4-2 with five shutouts, a 2.16 GAA and a .925 save percentage.
