The Calgary Flames last played the Phoenix Coyotes at the Scotiabank Saddledome on January 22.  The final score of the game was 3-2 in favor of the Flames. This was Calgary’s first win at home since December 23.  Karri Romo, the goalie of the Calgary Flames, stopped thirty of the Coyotes thirty two shots on goal while Romo’s teammates ensured the team had just enough points to pull out the win.  The first period of the game saw one score by the Flames. 

During the second period the Flames scored two more times while the Coyotes scored their first goal.  Going into the third period the score was 3-1, but the Coyotes managed to score with six minutes left in the game to bring the score to 3-2.  Despite having multiple shots on goal during the final minutes of the game Phoenix could not get the puck past goalie Karri Romo.

Phoenix is currently twenty points behind the Anaheim Ducks while the Calgary Flames sit in the second to last spot in the division with only fifty seven points.
