Two bottom feeders of the Western Conference meet up Saturday night in a game only a mother could love. There's not a whole lot on the line for either team except the bragging rights of not being in dead last. That being said, games like this are where bettors can find an unlikely edge.

The home squad Edmonton has a disappointing under .500 record on their own ice but that's something to be expected from a team with under 60 points this late in the season. The Oilers put a respectable streak together recently, winning and covering in 5 of 10 games including back to back wins over Nashville and Carolina.

Calgary has also had an impressive streak by winning 6 games out of their last 10. Even more impressive for the Flames is the fact that they've only been favored twice in those 10 games. A disadvantage for Calgary in their Saturday night game against Edmonton is the fact it will be coming on the second end of a back to back matchup with the Flames playing at home Friday night against Nashville.

The clubs hooked up not long ago with a March 1st game also in Edmonton. The Oilers were listed as -125 favorites in the comfort of Rexall Place but allowed a Sean Monahan goal just 1:50 into overtime to fall 2-1. Calgary bettors were paid out at only +115 and the over was an easy play in a game that had only 52 combined shots on goal.
