The high-scoring Calgary Flames will head out on the road on Thursday night to face the struggling defense of the Buffalo Sabres. During the 2013-14 season, the Flames were able to win both of their games against the Sabres.

The Flames were held scoreless until the third period in their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday and ended up losing 4-1. They only scored one goal despite outshooting the Maple Leafs 33-29 in that game.

On Tuesday, the Sabres were able to snap their two-game losing skid when they shut out the Los Angeles Kings 1-0 at home. Goalie Jhonas Enroth was solid in net in that win, stopping all 34 shots that came his way.

The Sabres have scored just 1.6 goals per game this year and they have only been able to score on 7.5 percent of their power play chances. Goalie Jhonas Enroth is currently 7-10-1 on the season with one shutout and a .918 save percentage. Tyler Ennis and Zemgus Girgensons are currently tied for the team lead in goals with eight apiece.
