The Buffalo Sabres will attempt to fix their struggling offense when they go on the road to face the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.

Last season, the Sabres and the Caps played each other three times, with the Sabres winning two of those games. It was a very close series, though, with all three of them being decided either in overtime or the shootout.

Sabres goaltender Jhonas Enroth has faced the Capitals four times in his career, going 1-0-3 against them with a .896 save percentage. Center Tyler Ennis has two goals and eight assists against Washington in 11 games, while right wing Drew Stafford has 10 goals and 14 points against them in 22 career games.

On Thursday, the Capitals finished their three-game road trip with a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche. They won that game despite being outshot 29-23. Star left wing Alex Ovechkin was able to break his three-game scoreless streak when he scored the game winner late in the third period.

The Caps are currently in the top 10 in the league in scoring with right around three goals scored per game. Ovechkin now has nine goals and nine assists through 19 games, while center Nicklas Backstrom leads the team in assists with 13. Netminder Braden Holtby is 7-4-2 on the season with one shutout and a .914 save percentage and a 2.26 GAA.
