The Buffalo Sabres, who are currently on a season-best three-game winning streak, will go on the road on Thursday night to face the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning and the Sabres are in first and last in the Atlantic Division standings right now.

The Sabres picked up their second straight shootout win on Tuesday night when they beat the Lightning 2-1 at home. The Lightning had a 27-22 shots-on-goal advantage in that game, but the Sabres had a dominant 32-23 faceoff advantage.

The top player in that game on Tuesday was Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth, who was able to stop 26 of the Lightning's 26 shots on goal. Center Zemgus Girgensons also had a very good game in that one and was able to notch his eighth goal of the season.

The Sabres have struggled mightily on offense this season, scoring just 1.6 goals per game against their first 25 opponents. Left wing Tyler Ennis has seven goals this year and he leads the team in points with 16. Goalie Jhonas Enroth has a record of 6-9-1 this season with no shutouts and a .920 save percentage.

In their first 26 games of the season, the Lightning are the top scoring team in the league by notching 3.5 goals per game. Center Tyler Johnson has had a very good start to the season by scoring eight goals and providing the assist on 19 others.
