The Buffalo Sabres will try to snap their three-game losing skid when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night. The Blues were able to win both of their games against the Sabres last year.

On Saturday, the Sabres' losing streak continued as they were blown out by the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-1 on home ice. They were outshot 39-21 in that loss and they ended up 0-for-3 on the power play.

The Sabres are currently last in the NHL in scoring with just over one goal scored per game. Right wing Drew Stafford has been their best offensive player with his three goals and five assists through 16 games. Netminder Jhonas Enroth has a 1-7-1 record with a .901 save percentage and a 3.63 GAA.

The Blues had their seven-game winning streak snapped on Saturday when they were beaten 2-1 by the Nashville Predators. Goalie Brian Elliott had a good game in the losing effort, stopping 33 shots and finishing the game with a .943 save percentage.

Through 14 games, the Blues have one of the best defensive teams in the league by giving up just 1.9 goals per game. Right wing Vladimir Tarasenko has been their standout player to this point by scoring nine goals and accumulating 17 points. Goalie Jake Allen is 4-1-0 on the season with two shutouts and a very solid .944 save percentage.
