On Saturday night, the Buffalo Sabres will be taking on the Florida Panthers in a game between two of the lowest-scoring offenses in the NHL. In early October, the Panthers were able to shut out the Sabres 1-0 in Buffalo.

On Thursday night, the Sabres had their three-game winning streak come to an end when the Tampa Bay Lightning shut them out 5-0 on the road. Buffalo couldn't get their offense going in that loss, finishing with just 13 shots on goal.

The Sabres are currently nearly the bottom of the league in scoring, goals against and power play percentage. Center Zemgus Girgensons has had a decent start to the season by scoring a team-high eight goals and assisting on six others. Goaltender Jhonas Enroth has a 6-10-1 record this year with no shutouts and a 3.08 GAA.

In their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, the Panthers scored three second-period goals, but they ended up losing 4-3 in the shootout. They lost that game despite ending up with a huge 55-20 shot advantage.

The Panthers have played very solid defense so far this season, but their offense has only been able to score 2.2 goals per game. Veteran netminder Roberto Luongo has an 8-5-6 record right now with a 2.39 GAA and a .924 save percentage. Their top scorer is center Nick Bjugstad, who has 10 goals this season.
